2006 Dodge Charger SRT8

In every cloud is a silver lining they say.
Michel Deslauriers at auto123.com seems to have gotten a deal on the silver lining part.
He gives a good review on a 2006 Dodge Charger SRT8. That he seems to ahh, gotten a deal on. Something about a automotive journalist and 222 km/h on a Canadian highway. That can be dangerous to your wallet.

One Million Chryslers

Almost 15 years after the first Chrysler Voyager rolled off the production line in Graz, Austria in 1991, Daimler Chrysler's Chrysler Group celebrated a milestone of one million Chrysler and Jeep(R) vehicles "Made in Europe." Today, MSF assembles six Chrysler Group vehicles for delivery to almost all markets outside of North America where Chrysler Group operates. They are the Chrysler Voyager, Grand Voyager, Chrysler 300C Sedan, 300C Touring, Jeep Commander and Jeep Grand Cherokee. The plant also assembles the high-performance Chrysler 300C SRT8 and the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 models via earthtimes.org

Green 300C

Continuing on the energy saving theme. RobGT over at his blog-t site gives a interesting summary of a 450 page report by CNW Marketing Research, which recently completed a two year research project into the 'dust-to-dust' cost of a large selection of vehicles. You can down load the whole report here
A pleasant note was that the Chrysler 300C was one of the automobles considered
dramatically 'greener' than the current load of hybrids on the market.

Future of the 300C

On Nov21st Chrysler revealed sketches that may suggest the future direction of the Chrysler 300C . "It could be the face of the future Chrysler cars, though certainly none of that has been decided," Chrysler spokesman Rick Deneau said.
He said Chrysler released the sketches nearly two months before the Detroit auto show in a bid to gauge public reaction to the concept models. Erich Merkle, an auto analyst with Grand Rapids-based IRN Inc is quoted that "It's more curvaceous and doesn't have quite that block look that the 300C provides"

2007 Chrysler 300C CRD

If you are in France you could have a 300CRD (common-rail diesel) with a Mercedes-Benz a 215-hp, turbocharged and intercooled, 3.0-liter diesel V-6. With 376 lb-ft of torque, just 11 lb-ft less than the 5.7-liter Hemi V-8, this engine propels the 300 to 62 mph in 7.6 seconds, only 1.2 seconds slower than the Hemi. And it returns an average of 29 mpg when cruising at 80 mph. Unfortunately, the 300C CRD isn't offered in America. The diesel's abundant torque, available from idle, means that the car always feels lively. The 300C CRD's top speed is 141 mph-WOW !

300C better than a Bentley ?

Now here's a man who knows his automobiles. Leading Queensland, Australia businessman Craig Gore, who is co-owner of Team Australia, which campaigns two cars in the Atlantic Series as well as two cars in the Champ Car World Series. Is parking his Bentley Black Label Arnage T Mulliner at home in his Gold Coast garage and using a new black Chrysler 300C as his daily drive car. He is quoted in a article at V8x.com that “It looks great, has plenty of power and rides just as good as the Bentley". He's got the right idea.

Custom Wheels Galore !

A good place to find custom wheels is at Wayneswheels.net. I counted 274 brands of wheels on their site. Just guessing ten or more different styles per brand, that comes up to about more than 2740 styles to choose from. Think they might have a style you like ?

I'm partial to this style of P.Miller's Signature PM506. They are really cool.

Performance Under the Hood

Want to beef up what's under the hood, looking for some hot headers and exhaust?
Over at Tbyrne Motorsports they are offering some good prices on JBA Headers/Exhaust through a group purchase process. The "Fine Print" for this can be seen in the Group Purchase section on their website. They need 10 or more orders by Monday, November 20th for this to go through. The first batch will be ordered as soon as they receive 10 orders.
JBA has been building and testing headers for the 5.7L HEMI since it was introduced in 2003. JBA has spent countless hours testing and tuning to engineer the perfect exhaust for the Magnum and Charger including SRT8 models. The end result is an ultra high flow system that makes real power with the authentic sound of a true muscle car without annoying interior resonance common on other systems.

I could use a station wagon

Oh, there are days I'd like to have a good old station wagon for grocery shopping and such. I think this one by Geiger of Germany would do very nicely. The new Chrysler 300C SRT8 here by Geiger Cars of Germany offers an equally extensive and exclusive tuning program for the sporty Chrysler top-of-the-line model.
