No you can't borrow the 300C

The lesson here is don't let your kid take the 300C out for a drive. From a video post over at streetfire.net by I am guessing a young man who managed to acquire his fathers 300C and take it for a ride "The 300C was actually surprisingly fast for such a big and heavy car!!! Took a speedo shot. Was on and off the thottle. Raise the volume so you can hear when i'm on it. Got it up to 105MPH but then let off anything faster than that is stupid!!" Glad he thought it would be stupid to go any faster, it looks like a lot of traffic around.

When I found this on youtube there were quite a number of videos of different rentals where people seemed to have rented them to do burnouts, drive in reverse then shift into drive and other assorted tricks

If I were a moonshine runner I think I would use a big hemi powered Chrysler 300C. Other than the good ride it's big enough to carry the extra weight. Some moonshiners in years gone by in the Appalachian foothills of North Carolina were known to use Chrysler New Yorkers also Dodge Coronet 440's with 426 Hemi's. Now I am sure there is more money in raising chickens that running moonshine these days. via hotrod magazine.

$10,000 Speeding Fine

I found this little Hot Wheels beauty on Flickr.
This would be the only 300C I'd be speeding in, up in Ontario, Canada . Not with their new $10,000 Canadian fine of up to 6 months in jail and no appeal, for going 31 MPH over the speed limit. Ouch ! From The Newspaper

300C Meets Police

Driving down a quiet country road on a summer day the 300c decided to pull my foot down on the accelerator. I was going a little over 110 when I slowed down to stop for a crossroads stop sign. I realized a county police car coming from the opposite direction. I stopped at the intersection,of course, turned and slowly kept driving. Sure enough the police also turned in behind me and hit the lights.
Having watched enough cop shows. Hands on the wheel, car off, and yes sir, no sir, seemed to be the order of the day. The dialogue went something like this.
policeman: why were you going so fast with the hemi.
driver: uh, sorry sir, I was on a errand for my wife and I was preoccupied.
policeman: Well, if you promise to slow this hemi down I'll let you go.
driver: Thank you sir, I will I said with a smile.
policeman: As he left, he turned and said, "maybe you should get a slant 6"
driver: Not likely I said as we parted ways.

The Car was a 2005 Chrysler 300C 3.5L V6 with a 260 hp The spedo says 220 kph which is 136.7 mph This was reported to be on the Star tollway in the Philippines. It does look kind of cool to see the needles horizontial on the right.

Fast "stock" 300C

These are just fun to watch once and awhile. A clip on Google video of a Brand new Chrysler 300C with 200 miles on it with nothing done to it except a big muffler cut off. 8.85 @ 80mph in the 1/8mile.
