New Hemi on Memory Lane

Gone are the days when backyard mechanics would take a striped down powerful car like maybe a Chrysler 300C and make a hot rod out of it. Now that is left to professionals. Like this little trip down hot rod "hemi" memory lane.

Powered by the new 6.4-liter 392 Hemi Mopar crate engine and featuring a hot-rod body, The SR 392 Roadster was designed by three members of Chrysler's Mopar Underground SEMA design team, a group of enthusiasts who design SEMA project vehicles in their spare time. Ahh the good old days, gone forever.

Old School Chrysler 300s

As cool as these old school Chrysler 300s are finding one is pretty tough. I think there were only about 1700 or so of these built. Someone spent a lot of time and effort to make this Chrysler 300 beautiful again. You may have to get your satisfaction with one of these ether building one yourself or having someone do it for you.A old commerical asked is it Memorex or not. It had Ella Fitzgerald singing a high C note which broke a glass, the gag was which did it Ella or the Memorex tape. recording, I Like that, if it wasn't for the blue background you could hardly tell that one of these was a model of a Chrysler 300 instead of being the real thing, great work on both of them.

1957 Chrysler 300C for Christmas

There is still time for Santa to add a 1957 CHRYSLER 300C on to my list. After all According Old Cars Price Guide they are only worth between $26,000-$81,900 depending on it's shape of course. The convertible is worth more But both have the unique styling and a 375-390-horsepower "Hemi" V-8, excellent handling and a luxurious interior. It was America's most powerful car at the time. Yes that would be a sweet ride. Might be hard to find as only 1,918 300C's were made in 1957.

The New Chrysler Company

The name DaimlerChrysler will be no more, the new company will be called Chrysler, LLC.
They are also going to resurrect, according to Chrysler spokesperson Mike Aberlich an updated version of the "Pentamark" the old trademark. Some folks don't think that is a good idea. more
Former Chrysler Group COO Wolfgang Bernhard, who is credited with having helped Chrysler roll out products like the 300C sedan in 2003, is now a senior advisor at Cerberus. Although rumors abound that Bernhard will become Chrysler CEO, the company has not said what his role or official title will be at the newly unfettered company.
