Kirk Kerkorian bid for Chrylser

According to CNN today, multi-billionare Kirk Kerkorian has put up a bid of $4.5 billion with union concessions for Chrylser, maker of the beloved 300C. Apparently there are 3 bids on the table.
In the same story they mentioned Ford CEO was paid $28 million for 4 months work. A billion $ isn't what it used to be I guess. He could afford to buy a few 300C's now.

Chrysler sell-off talks confirmed

Well it's offical after much rumors Chrysler is looking for a new home it was announced today that "German car giant DaimlerChrysler has confirmed for the first time that it is in talks to sell its struggling US Chrysler business.
Chief executive Dieter Zetsche said the firm was "talking with some of the potential partners who have shown a clear interest" in Chrysler."
